m3ter is the connective tissue between your CRM and ERP. We help you achieve revenue stack modernization by providing a usage data ingestion platform, a billing calculation engine, and an integration layer that automates the flow of contract, billing, and usage data around your stack.
SaaS vendors typically have loosely-coupled CRM, ERP, and production systems, meaning it’s difficult to move data between them. That’s no problem with simple subscription pricing, but more complex usage-pricing needs data to travel easily. Without automated connections:
Manual data entry: time-consuming and painful.
Inconsistent data: errors are inevitable.
Poor management data: long lead times for month end and reporting.
Limited sophistication: can’t accommodate complexity.
Automatically pull in customer and order data from your sources of truth - Salesforce, Hubspot etc - ensuring you’re always using the right pricing when calculating bills.
Automatically deliver the right bill calculations and revenue categorisations to your finance systems - NetSuite, Sage, SAP etc - for invoicing, accounting, and reporting.
Automatically deliver billing and usage data wherever else they’re needed. This includes the CRM so your teams have customer insights at their fingertips.
m3ter ingests, enriches, and stores complex usage data so it’s ready for billing.
m3ter’s bill calculation engine supports even the most advanced charging models. Flexibly configure for complex scenarios such as prepayments, credit systems, and parent/child hierarchies. Handle high levels of unique pricing plans.
m3ter processes usage data and calculates bill amounts automatically and continuously. You have real time running totals for bills which means:
API-first, events-based architecture with pre-built (but extensible) object mappings to enable translation between systems.
A library of pre-built connectors that can be configured and extended easily within m3ter. A visual scripting interface allows design of multi-step automated workflows.
For key systems like Salesforce, our connectors allow control and configuration of m3ter natively within that system.
Automate billing workflows across your revenue stack.
Schedule a demoMost of our customers use Salesforce and we offer a sophisticated connector that allows them to flexibly manage custom object mappings and interact with m3ter from within Salesforce. But our flexible integration framework allows easy integration with other CRMs such as Hubspot.
Most of our customers use NetSuite, SAP, or Sage Intacct. But we also offer pre-built connectors for a range of other ERPs and billing tools such as Stripe, QuickBooks, Xero, Chargebee, and Paddle.
Yes. m3ter’s native integration allows customers to offer exactly the pricing they want on AWS Marketplace without compromise or extra effort.
We don’t, by design. m3ter is an infrastructure product - we focus on the things ERP and billing systems don’t do well (usage data processing and complex rating) and then feed them with calculated bill line items. We assume you will already have an invoicing solution in place or will be happy to use a best-in-breed solution like Stripe Invoicing.
Yes and no. Yes, because we provide the data needed for sophisticated revenue accounting. No, because we do not provide revenue recognition tooling ourselves - we feed the revenue recognition tools that you already have in place, either as part of your ERP, or a best-in-breed tool.
None. Implementing m3ter is about configuration, not code. That said, we offer highly flexible configuration options that allow you to offer almost any pricing or billing model you can imagine, and we are an API-first platform that supports high levels of automation.
