New Features:

Set an end-date for Billing Entities

Customers' needs evolve over time, leading to changes in their service consumption. They might increase or decrease service usage, cancel, renew, or renegotiate. With m3ter, you can now set an end-date existing Account plans, prepayments, and pricing that are linked to an Account or Contract. Learn more here.

With inbound integrations, like Chargebee and Salesforce, you can eliminate operational errors in contract changes led by Sales or Deal Desk teams by automatically syncing and setting end-dates for existing agreements, and creating new ones with the updated plans in m3ter.

Usage ingest error events - coming soon

We've just completed the release of Ingest Failure Events for customer orgs. Now, if any usage data you submit to our platform encounters an ingestion hiccup, we've got your back. An ingest validation failure Event will be generated, and you can find all the details on the Ingest Events page in the Console.

As with other m3ter Events, you can set up customized Notifications triggered by these ingest failure Events, and configure webhook destinations to send out a Notification payload for retrieval by your 3rd-party systems.

Want to dig deeper into the error? You can click the "Download log" button to snag a JSON formatted text file. This log file contains the details you need to troubleshoot and resolve the ingestion issue. Check out this Doc article to learn more.

If you would like early access to this, please message the m3ter team.

Enhancements across m3ter

Console Dashboard, now featuring Recent Accounts

The Console Dashboard page has been remodeled and now shows a list of Recent Accounts worked on, allowing you to quickly jump back in.

Setting up pricing - know where you left off

When you open the Pricing Editor for a Product in the Console, and some essential configuration isn't finished, you'll now see a helpful pricing readiness guide. It keeps you on track by displaying a percentage progress as you complete the required setup.

See Pricing Readiness - Completing Prerequisites for more details.

Set Bill due dates per Account

Now, you have the power to set the number of days before Bills are due after the initial Bill generation date on a per-Account basis. This feature lets you customize Bill due dates for each end-customer Account, giving you more flexibility and control even if there's an organizational setting in place. See Creating Accounts.

Approve Bills in batches

We've added a handy feature to the Approve Bills API call: the new billIds request body parameter. This addition makes batch approval of Bills a breeze!

Bill layout improvements

We've given the Bill pages in the Console a little makeover. We’re all about making your billing experience smoother.

  1. Now, the Bill details card is separated from the Bill totals and charges breakdown.
  2. We've also spruced up the layout for better readability, making it a breeze to distinguish the main running totals from the individual line item breakdowns when you're reviewing Bills.
  3. Plus, you'll notice that on Bill details, we've made it crystal clear by showing the status of any associated Last Integration run.

Inviting Users

You're in control - say goodbye to the default 30-day limit! When you invite people to join your m3ter Organization, you can now set a specific expiry date for the invitation. See Inviting Users to your Organization for more details.

Organization toggle

Navigating multiple Organizations just got easier! Now, when users with access to more than one Organization log in to the Console, they'll be greeted by a Select Organization screen. This handy feature lets them quickly choose the Organization they want to work in, eliminating the need to open a default one first. Plus, m3ter will display your last accessed Organization and search option for easy selection.
